Ideas to Apps – Session One UX
Modern Jago is Microsoft's new space in Shoreditch for designers, developers and artists. We run and host events and open the space for folks to come down and co-work. Want to find out more about the space? You can have a chat to us on Twitter or Facebook, or find us in a bunch of other places.
Last week at Modern Jago, the first Ideas to Apps session kicked off in Shoreditch with business owners, start-ups and freelancers in attendance, wanting to know how to make their app idea a reality.
The theme of the day was user experience and focusing on one question that we kept at the front of our minds:
How is your app going to make people’s lives better?
Digital Strategist Lawrence Alexander led the session and worked with the whole room to encourage them consider:
– What is the app?
– What will it do?
– How will the user react and behave?
– Why is it good?
With these points in mind, take a look through Lawrence’s slides from the session as he runs through the process of identifying your audience, defining the apps purpose and putting your pen to paper to make things happen.
